Authentic love is far more than a lovely feeling. Real love is realised, made real, in actions. Deeds, not just sweet words.

Love of God strives to resonate with mind and heart of the beloved, the second and third persons of the blessed trinity.

God's commandments are not so much as law, more of moral guidance. A bit like a doctor commanding you to cut down on alcohol intake and increase your exercise routine. Or a teacher, in the month May, commanding his or her pupils to cut down on social media and concentrate more on revision.

Loving actions shape our heart and our relationship with God, our soul. Virtuous actions, following God’s commands, make us capax Dei, capable of life with God after we die.

My conscience commands me to keep my homilies short. So, I do. and you might be thinking, ‘thank God.’
