Christmas Eve

“you shall call his name Jesus.”

In Hebrew he was called Yeshua, a common short form of Yehoshua, meaning "YHWH saves" or "The Lord is salvation," which became the English "Jesus" through Greek and Latin translations.

He is the star on top of the Christmas – some call it The Jesse – tree.

In my life I call Jesus Yesh. He is my closest and best friend. I am never alone. Yesh is always with me. With him I share my life and all its experiences.

I relate to him as a thirty year old; the age  - according to Luke’s Gospel (3,23) he was when he started his public ministry. Thirty was, in his culture, an age of maturity, fitting for beginning important societal roles like those of priests or rabbis, and a common age for dedication to a calling.

For me, he is the face of the Blessed Trinity. When I admire the beauty of creation, I ask him to congratulate his Father. When I see – and experience love, I ask him to thank and congratulate The Holy Spirit.

As you know, I am an optimist. Thanks to Jesus, I see myself as an honorary member of the family in eternity that is the Blessed Trinity.

How about you? How do you see and relate with Jesus Christ? Tomorrow, wish him Happy Birthday and decide to live your life in a closer relationship with Him.

You will be more relaxed and hopeful if you do.
