Thirty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time

Mt 25,14 Talents across the PIES.

Talent – a handy word. Used to be a large sum of money, now an aptitude or skill. A gift.

Talents! Never judge another's behaviour as have no idea - unless they are honest and tell you - how they are inside.

Powerful? Intelligent? What is their IQ, their education? Their background?

Is there any mental illness? ADHD,OCD, PTSD, dyslexia, schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, autism.

By the way the world's strongest man - who eats 10.000 calories a day - was diagnosed with autism aged seven. So, he took up weightlifting while still at school.

Your own talents? The gifts God has given you - How are they? How do you look after them?

The Physical: how is your exercise, diet, sleep?

Intellectual: I keep thinking, reading, writing, talking - to reduce the risks of dementia. I drink Coffee, and take vitamin D and Olive Oil as minefields to hold up dementia.

Emotional caring for my congregations, my friends - which include my families (I am an honorary member of a few) keep my heart alive.

Spiritually I keep in frequent contact with Jesus - Yesh and tell him what I think and feel.

Life is a staircase on which we can go up or down. You might need a handrail - your friends - to enable you to keep climbing. On Sundays here, I try to be your handrail.
