The Holy Family

“Why have you done this to us?”

The Holy Family – a perfect family – yet experiences misunderstandings.

Given his age, the 12 years old Jesus could be with either parent, with mother and women or Joseph and the men.

Event in event, Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem because he was convinced he, " Must be busy with my Father's affairs."

Misunderstandings occur even in the perfect, the Holy, family.

To reduce problems, use ears and mouth in their proportion. Listen more than speak.

When speak, make sure what you say is THINK

True, helpful, inspiring, necessary, kind.

If not apologise - and forgive.

Use " I love you" frequently rather than rarely.

Try to put yourself into the skin of the other and remember that that skin is changing as time passes by. 

Before there are children, when they are teenage and after they leave home and menopause comes along.

Stay awake to the needs of the others. I try. Hence my short homilies.
