“The grain of mustard seed and leaven” are parables encouraging hope.

So many people are gloomy about the state of this country and indeed, the world.

So, it’s good to hear these parables.

It’s also good to research statistics.

Generation Z, people born between 1997 and 2012 - and even after that (this morning I was speaking after mass with a girl born in 2013) have been buying 87% more bibles than the previous generations and are drinking 20% less alcohol.

As they mature, their values and lifestyles are likely to be better than the oldies.

So, I live and rejoice in hope.

The Holy Spirit is like that leaven in our society and nourishing the mustard seed grain within young hearts.

So, Alleluia!
